Happy Wednesday!!
Wt 172.5.. I had a heart attack today on the scale when I got on it this morning. It said 174??? How?? I took a water pill yesterday, I've been 172.5 for 3 days now ( even saw 171.5 ) so how 174?? I decided to take pj's off and there was 172.5 how my pj's weigh 1.5 pds is beyond me, but it did.. The scale or at least my scale is a funny thing. I can get up pee, weigh be 172.5 then go downstairs, have my tea and then breakfast, come back upstairs to get gym clothes on, weigh myself be 171.5, then later be back to 172.5. It's always all over the place.. Yes!! I go way overboard with the scale, but I like it that way.. I have to know where I'm at, can you say control freak.
My dr. called about my thyroid yesterday.. Seems I have thyroiditis. No reason why I have it or cause, just do.. She said there is a 30% chance I could develop hypothyroidism so they are going to monitor me and see how I do and take it from there. Keep fingers crossed all will be well..
Well, not much else going on. I'm headed off to the treadmill and do my hour today. Yesterday I did an hour and half..

Happy Monday Everyone!!
Not much going on in my life lately, just hanging about.. We leave for vacation on the 27th so trying to get things ready for that..
Wt, well I got on the scale today and it said 172.5, crazy.. Of coures I didn't weigh myself again to may make sure what I was seeing was 172.5, but I'm taking it. I've again changed up my workout on the treadmill so maybe that helped??? I also change my eating times a bit. I was eating at 10am brk, then shake at 12, lunch at 2, another shake at 4, dinner at 6 and snack at 8. Now I've been eating brk around 8:30am and going till 2 pm before I had anything solid again was to long, so now I do brk at 8:30, lunch at 12 -12:30, shake at 2, snack at 4, dinner at 6, and snack at 8 and it's really helped me stay full.. I have an appt on the 18th for a fill, I called a few weeks back and made because I was so hungr all the time, but thinking now I've changed my eating I should cancel?? I will give it a few more days and see. I might just get a .5cc put in.. I only have 2.5cc in so I have loads of room to play with..

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July.. Being a Brit I've never really celebrated Thanksgiving and July 4th.. I did it when my daughter was living at home, but after she moved out to start her new life, I don't really bother anymore.. My husband does't mind. I do cook ( or did not since surgery ) a Thanksgiving meal, but it's small because it's just usually hubby and I. Our family isn't close by so it's usually only us for holiday's and to be truthful it's a lot of work for just two people. We have gone out for July 4th to see fireworks, but with the heat and terrible storm we had a few days ago, staying home was all we wanted to do. We had no electricity for 2 1/2 days and when you have well water and the pumps don't work for water, not fun! Anyway, I do hope everyone had a fun, safe day..
Well today I got on the scale and it said 175.5 then later on I thought I would try again because my first goal was to make it to 175 and low and behold it said 175, so I'm taking it.. I have noticed that my wt is coming off very slow and it's very frustating but it is what it is and I will continue to do what I need to.. I 've dropped 1 protein shake a day and have been trying to figure out good sources of protein that aren't high in calories. All I've come up with so far is jerky, lol! so I've been having 2oz of jerky as my replacement for my protein shake..I purchased simple bars protein bars and they are not bad, but they seem to elevate my sugars, so I don't eat them very often. They are 16 grams of protein, 2 to 5 grams of sugar and 160 calories, so not bad.,
I found this ice cream called So Delicious Coconut Milk No Sugar Added ice cream.. It's not bad at all, is it ice cream?NO!! but it's really good sub. I got the chocolate and it kind of tastes like a mounds bar, due to the coconut milk. It's 100 for 1/2cup which is my portion size. It's 1 gram of sugar and it doesn't effect my sugars at all. No real protein though, just 1 gram, but it's a good sub for the hot lazy ice cream days.. It has to be No Sugar Added because they do have other kinds with higher calories, etc... I've also heard about a ice cream called Artic Zero that's suppose to be 150 calories per pint and 14grams of protein. Haven't tried it yet, but am on the lookout for it. I've been trying to change my diet a bit so I don't get bored, so trying to find good sources of protien that are low calories and sugar.. I went to Trader Joe's the other day and purchased a few items, chicken burgers, turkey burgers, I eat have of one usually for lunch and the other half for dinner. Not bad, easy to make and salad is already portioned out so it works out well.. I wanted to purchase the egg white salad but either they didn't have it or I just couldn't find it..
I've also changed my excercise up a bit. I'm doing program 4 and 3 one day and doing program 3 twice the next, on the day's I do program 3, I make the treadmill flat put it on 4 mph and do 15 minute sprints every 30 secs and the last 15 mins I just walk at 4 mph. I will increase the time as time goes bye. My dream is to run, but I have a very bad foot from a old injury when I was a child, it easily breaks, and I have severe arthritis in it now, but I'm trying to give it a go. At least I can say I tried it.. Now! if I can just get my boobs from hurting afterwards that would be great, lol!! Have a great day!

Hi guys!! Again sorry I've not posted much, but been having some health issues.. Band is doing fine, but now I have something wrong with my thyroid.. I'm going in tomorrow for a scan.. My dr. say's I have hyperthyroidism, which you would think with that I would be downt to a size 2, but nope wt is coming off very very slow to none.. I've been going up and down with the scale,which I know is all water.. THe heat makes me gain wt, because I retain water. So, today I am 177 and tomorrrow I'm sure I will be 178.. See, thats what I get for whating my first goal to be down to 175. I want to be 175 before I leave to go to my daughter's. That was my first goal. My real goal is 140 to 145, would love to get to 135 but that would just be a bonus..
I've decided to go in next month and get a small fill. I've been eating my 1/2 cup portions and have not cheated once, but I've have noticed that I seem to want more food after eating then before.. I've also noticed that I'm hungry more and that's something I don't want.. I 've taken away 1 protein shake a day ( dr. said I should ) but I've not been able to make those calories up. Which concerns me. I've been eating less then 500 calories a day since taking away the protein shake so I don't want to eat that little.. Now with that said. I don't count my crystral light caloris or added calories like butter spray's, o/o, etc so I add an additonal 100 per day for those. So really I'm eating around 500 to 600 per day. My dr. said nothing under 600 calories per day, so I really need to make up about 160 to 180 cal. I've ordered some protein bars on line, so I hope they are good. I'm meeting my protein goals, 70 to 76 g per day so that's good.
I looked on line for the lowest calorie protein bars I could find and those were simple bars. They are 160 per bar which should fill in that 160 I miss from my protein shake. THey of course don't have the 30 gr of protein like the shake but they do have 16 gr so that's still good. I got the variety pk so I sure hope I find one I like.. My dr. said I need solid food instead of the liquid. Since liquid is empty calories for band ppl.. So I'm working in trying to do everything exactly the way she wants me too..
I feel totally great though.. Little concerned over the thyroid but find it more weird then anything else. I've have fine labs all the way up to March.. My March labs came back completely fine which was 6 weeks after my surgery, then had labs done in end of May (new dr. ) they should something up with my thyroid, had then repeated in June to double check and they still showed thyroid off.. I asked if it could be the wt loss. I've had a fast wt loss in an short time and wondered if it could have sent my thyroid off, of course she didn't know. So, I've decided to see my fill dr. and she if she has any answers, but in the mean time I will take all the tests needed to get down to the bottom of what's going on..

Wt today 179.. My wt isn't moving as fast as I would like it but it's moving, so that's the main thing.. Funny, how I didn't work out yesterday and still lost a pound.. I work out 6 day's a week and my days off very depending on what I need to do for the week.. I used to have Saturday's off, but now with dr, appts, nail day, etc I usual have a day off during the week.
Not much else here. I told you all before, I live a very boring life..

Hello Everyone!!
Beautiful but hot day today, so will be spending most of it inside...
Wt today is still 182, so no change their, but it will come..
I have noticed that I've been a little bit hungry then usual lately, but I have not gone off track once since getting the band and I sure won't now..
I just saw my P. A and we both agreed no fill this time, so I don't go back until Sept now.. I hope I can go that long, if not I will have to call her. I just don't want to get a fill right now, because I am heading on vacation the end of July and don't want to be traveling with a new fill..
I keep sticking to what my guildlines are and haven't gone off once, I'm real proud of that. It's hard sometimes, like yesterday.. My hubby and I went to the movies and he of course got a med popcorn (which you know med popcorn is really a large ) and soda, me; bottle water. I wanted a bite of popcorn but I didn't take it.. Those times I'm so proud of myself.. I'm so afraid of screwing up, or gaining wait I just won't go off track.. I can't!!
When I started this journey I sat down with my hubby and told him he was going to be on his own as far as food is concerned. I wasn't going to cook for him anymore ( unless he wanted to eat what I do ). I know that sounds bad, but I came to a decision that I for once was going to look after me for a change..I have looked after him and our daughter and it's now my turn.. He was great about it, he said " you do whatever you need to " so I am.. We go shopping for food together and he buys what he wants and I get what I need.. Of course he gets frozen pizza's, frozen foods, etc,by the way, my husband is approx 6 pounds over weight, makes me sick, lol! Anyway, he comes home from work, pops his stuff in the microwave and off he goes.. I of course have to smell all that stuff and that's hard. But I have noticed as the time goes by that sometimes the smell makes me feel sick.. I seem to be more sensitive to smells. Things I used to like, like garlic sometimes makes me sick.. The smell is just to strong now.. I eat pretty blend things, like protein and salads, or some kind of veggie so there's no season to it. Except for the tsp of salad dressing I have..
Do you find this?? that your more sensitive to certain smells??

Hi Everyone!!
Sorry, it's been awhile.. I had a real bad sinus infection and then I had dr. appts regarding some bloodwork I got back.. I seem to be having a problem with my Thyroid, who knew?? Not me!! I feel great.. I still have some more bloodwork, but my dr. said it's hyperthyroidism , not hypo, so again who knew?? I'm hoping it is from my sinus infection or something viral.. I had a terrible sore throat and glands were swollen for about 2 weeks, but when I went to dr, he said it was part of the sinus infection. I went to another dr. who took blood and it came back with funky TSH.. My dr. said it could be viral so going to get more work done on friday.
My wt is 182. Which has slowed down some. Part is the heat.. I always retain water bad during the summer so I think the wt will slow down some for awhile.. But, I'm still losing and that's all that matters..
I hope every has a great weekend..
